MEETING

The next meeting of the African American Genealogy Group of the Miami Valley (AAGGMV) will be Saturday, October 28, 1:00 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room of the Greene County Public Library, 76 East Market Street, Xenia, OH.

The meeting will feature discussion by members of their favorite genealogy resources: books, internet, family, etc. Each attendee is encouraged to “show and tell” to share their research, or genealogical references.

Also, there will be “one-on-one” assistance in doing personal genealogy - time permitting. This will be especially valuable for those just getting starting, and wondering “How can I do my family genealogy?” Resources of The Greene County Room at the library are available for research, including access to “AncestryPlus,” the comprehensive on-line database containing all federal census records from its inception through 1930.

The meeting will be preceded by a business meeting for the election of new officers for 2007-2009.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
