Meeting Announcement
The next meeting of the African American Genealogy Group of the Miami Valley (AAGGMV) will be
Saturday, April 22, 2006, 1:00 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room of the Greene County Public Library, 76 East Market Street, Xenia, OH.The speaker will be Mr. Robert Harris, President of AAGGMV. His topic will be: “DNA and Genealogy.” The topic is intended to serve as an introduction to molecular genetics and the use of DN A for genealogy. It will be presented at a level that all can understand and enjoy.
Also, AAGGMV members and attendees will be invited to share their various experiences using DNA for genealogical purposes.
Mr. Harris is a founder of AAGGMV and served as its first President in 1999. He is editor of the organization’s quarterly publication - “The AAGGMV Newsletter.” He is a retired engineer. He holds Master degrees in computer science and business administration.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
