Dr. Kittles of Ohio State University will be speaking on October 8 at 1 to 2  PM in the 3rd floor, Education Center on the topic of DNA Genealogy.  This is a great opportunity to learn about this new technology and its implications for the field of genealogy.

Afterwards, at 2:30 PM in the Grand Hall on the 2nd floor, Dr. Kittles will present an explanation of a DNA project he is leading.  Interested parties will be provided a short survey and consent form to complete and will receive a free DNA test.  Participants will be sent a report that will identify a segment of their ancestry.  All surveys and test results are confidential.  This free service will be provided for up to 150 participants.

Dr. Kittles is an associate professor of molecular virology, immunology, and medical genetics at Ohio State University’s Medical Center.  He helped establish the National Human Genome Center and served as co-director of molecular genetics at Howard University.  He is co-founder of African Ancestry.
